We have collected and answered some questions we
often get asked.
Please let us know if you have any other questions
Can I still save money without having the time to assemble and
install a kitchen myself?
Yes! Just using our eASY-BUILD system is cheaper than buying a kitchen
from a showroom based supplier. You can get someone to assemble and
install one of our flat packed kitchens and still pay less than other
"free installation" quotes you will get. We can put you in touch with
a licensed and experienced installer.
How much for an average kitchen?
Each of our kitchens is unique, so it is difficult to generalise when
supplying prices. Every quote we provide is based on exactly how much
material and resources your specific design requires. Because we don't
have a physical shop front, we don't need to cover overheads such as
a Showroom, Stock, Warehousing, or Sales Staff. On average you can expect
to pay 30% to 40% less than you have been quoted by a retailer supplying
an equivalent assembled kitchen.
Can you design a kitchen for me?
We can turn your dimensions and needs list into a designer kitchen perfectly
fitted for your environment. For a reasonable fee the kitchen will be
specified from the eASY-BUILD Catalogue for you; optimised for function
and economy. This would be a good opportunity to discuss any ideas and
confirm your measurements with your installer if you are using one.
How long does it take?
We normally ship kitchens within 15 working days after receiving the
order subject to availability of materials. The time needed to remove
an old kitchen then assemble and install a new kitchen will depend greatly
on the local conditions and the skills of the participants. On average,
a kitchen can be removed in 1 day. Walls refinished if needed and new
cabinets assembled 1 - 2 days. New kitchen installed 2 - 3 days. Trade
qualified technicians will be required to perform shutting off and reconnection
of power, water and gas. This can normally be arranged to take place
during the refit.
What happens if I get stuck?
Don't Panic! If you have a question that isn't covered in our Instruction
C.D. we can provide a certain amount of over the phone and on-line support.
Should you need more help than this, we can organise for a kitchen specialist
to call around and give you some on site assistance at an hourly rate.
Can I just get some cabinets and use a different benchtop?
We can deliver any number of any component from our catalogue, whether
it is a bench top, cupboard or end panel. We are also happy to co-ordinate
with other suppliers if you want to incorporate something into your
kitchen and we can not provide it. Additions to existing kitchens are
another good use of our flat pack system.
What if I want a cabinet that isn't in the catalogue?
You might need one cupboard to be a bit shorter than available in the
Catalogue to get that perfect fit. Special Cut units are available.
You will need to order the larger unit and specify the reduction in
width required. Similarly if you have a special need in your kitchen
we can accommodate custom designed units within your quote. These units
will be delivered flat packed and bundled with the rest of the kitchen.
Should I use an installer?
There is a lot of assembly and preparation work that can be done on
an eASY-BUILD system with few tools or little experience. But if you
have some doubts about the actual installation, a licensed installer
might be able to quickly fit those parts of the kitchen which might
challenge you. Good savings can be made if you use an installer to help
organise things with you instead of a retailer.
